Unique T-shirt Design That Exude Personality!

Written by funker on August 14, 2010 – 3:18 pm

An understanding of unique T-Shirt design can be arrived at by getting a clear picture of what T-shirts are all about. We have all worn T-Shirts and some of us swear by them. These buttonless, collarless and pocketless shirts with a round neck have slowly emerged as one of the vital ingredients of pop culture. They are the vehicles of expressionism and have a hugely colorful history. The T-Shirt first came into being during World War I, taking cue from the light cotton undershirts worn by European soldiers. The enterprising Americans caught on to the idea and this comfortable apparel was called T-shirt because of its shape.

T-Shirt design has been known for its uniqueness. The first unique T-Shirt design was the ‘Ringer’. It was a hit with the youth of 1960’s and emerging rock-n-rollers of that time. Futhermore, more people started experimenting with T-Shirt design and started using tie and dye as well as screen printing on T-shirts. This gave T-Shirts a unique differentiation. Many T-Shirt variants also started emerging like the tank top, the A-shirt, scoop neck, muscle shirt and the V-neck. All of them had unique designs and were categorized as T-shirts.

7 Foods That are Deadly to Your Parrots

Written by funker on August 10, 2010 – 3:20 pm

When parrots were first keep as pets, people thought they only lived a short time. This was in part because most of the soft billed wild birds only live a few years but also because the parrots they kept die within 10 years or so. This was because the diet these parrots were being fed did not supply the necessary nutrients and the birds basically starved to death very, very slowly. Some succumbed to illness but this was in large part due to the fact that they were malnourished and their bodies couldn’t fight the disease.

Today we know that many of the large parrots can live to be over 100 years of age and even budgies and cockatiels can live to be 20 or more. This is because we now know what to feed our parrots and what to avoid letting them eat.

There are lots of good things to feed your parrot, but there are a few things that you might offer that can kill your beloved feathered friend. The reasons may differ but the results are the same: death.

Private Schools Offer A Lot Of Advantages That Your Child May Not Recieve In Public School

Written by funker on August 3, 2010 – 3:17 pm

Even if they’re not the most expensive or prestigious, private schools can offer a lot of advantages over public schools. Parents will find the environments at most private schools are a little more conducive for learning and the population size tends to be a little more manageable, too. Plus, there are private schools that cater to special interests, such as religion, arts, literature, technology and more.

Before you discount private schools because of the potential costs, consider the fact that many local private schools only cost a little more than day care, and the expenses seem a bit more feasible. The fact of the matter is there are very good private schools that don’t cost an arm and a leg.

Here are some of the advantages of private schools over public. Remember, though, that public schools can also be incredible learning experiences. Children tend to get out of their school years as much or as little as they and their families put into them.

On the Quest for that Perfect T-Shirt

Written by funker on August 1, 2010 – 3:18 pm

There are people out there that like wearing t-shirts that make a bold statement. There’s either something on their shirt that represents who they are or there’s an image or a message on their t-shirt that’s just plain funny. Either way others will notice it and may compliment them on it. It sure does feel good when something you choose to wear gets noticed.

I find myself constantly looking for those t-shirts that have a message or have an image on it that I’ve never seen before. I don’t like getting those pieces of clothing that have the same old logo on it that everyone else wears. It just feels good when people ask me “where did you get that shirt?” Especially if a person of the opposite sex asks you that question. It just helps as a conversation starter. So I know for a lot of guys that’s definitely a good thing. And for the ladies it sure does feel good when someone compliments you on something you took the time to put together.

Embroidered Polo Shirt That Started Off as a Tennis Shirt

Written by funker on June 8, 2010 – 3:19 pm

A polo shirt is a t-shirt with collars, and a tastefully embroidered polo shirt has greater appeal. Remember that alligator across your left breast? The polo shirt collars are often button down. The shirt typically has two small slits on both sides at the bottom, and might also have a pocket.

Polo shirt originated as a tennis shirt, to replace the earlier cumbersome tennis wear. Its inventor of this new tennis shirt, tennis champion Lacoste, put the crocodile emblem on these shirts because he was often called ‘the alligator’ in the tennis circuit.

How this tennis shirt became the polo shirt is an interesting story. Though polo players soon adopted it, replacing their earlier long-sleeved wear, this fact alone could not have led to the fame of the polo shirt. It was when Ralph Lauren’s embroidered polo shirts (with the horse-borne polo player emblem) became immensely popular that the erstwhile tennis shirt all but became the ‘polo shirt’.

Golf players also adopted the shirt as their own, often with golf cuts to make them true golf shirts. It is standard wear for golf players now.

Self Improvment Month – Is It True That There Is Something Called A Self-Improvement Month?

Written by funker on June 1, 2010 – 3:20 pm

If we try to find out of all the months which is best for self improvement, the answer is the month of November. It is believed by many as the month of self improvement. It is also believed to be the best time to engage in different types of works which would help us improve over all as a person, for example registering for writing or for the personality enhancement classes, learning a different hobby or learning about arts and craft, reading books, watching educational and inspiring shows or going for a vacation with the family to spend time with them.

The confusion lies in, is there really something like self improvement month? For those whose answer is in affirmative, it certainly is the month of November.

Going at a deeper level, actually every month should be for self improvement and improvement of anyone should not be confined to time and period rather whenever the need for improvement is felt, the person should work on it head on. Anytime is the best time for improvement and improvement doesn’t depend on any particular time of the day, week, month or year rather every second and minute is right for improvement.
