Ten Questions You Can Ask Yourself As A Preparation To Self-Improvement

Written by funker on September 2, 2010 – 3:19 pm

Most of us are partially contented with our lives the way they are, but it’s hard to think of anything else when there are so many other issues to be considered.

Still we should aspire for something better.

We are all attacked by problems. But it should not bother us or even slow us down to becoming all we should be. Our dreams as children should continue to stay with us, short-lived though they may be or as long as we could keep hold to the dream. The old saying that you can not teach an old dog new tricks does not apply.

#1 What is it that I really want?

This is the age-old question. All of us have so many things we want to do with our lives yet so little time to even get through the day. Finding one thing that you are especially good at will help make that first small step to improving yourself. Conscientiousness is how you will know it is worthwhile.

A Preparation to Self-improvement

Written by funker on September 1, 2010 – 3:21 pm

Be all you can be, but it’s not always in the Army. I often see myself as somewhat contented with my life the way things are, but of course it’s hard to think of anything else when where are real issues to be discussed.

Still I aspire for something deeper and more meaningful.

So we’re all pelted with problems. Honestly it shouldn’t even bother or even hinder us to becoming all we ought to be. Aspirations as kids should continue to live within us, even though it would be short-lived or as long as we could hold on to the dream. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks… or can they?

1. What do I really want?

The question of the ages. So many things you want to do with your life and so little time to even go about during the day.

Find something that you are good at can help realize that small step towards improvement. Diligence is the key to know that it is worth it.

2. Should I really change?

Today’s generation has taken another level of redefining ’self’, or at least that’s what the kids are saying. Having an army of teenage nieces and nephews has taught me that there are far worse things that they could have had than acne or maybe even promiscuity. So how does that fit into your lifestyle?

Self improvement is everyone’s goal. All of us want to know about weaknesses and strengths. The awareness about our personality, character, thinking style, emotional reactions, can help us improve ourselves. Once we begin converting our weaknesses into strengths, we are better equipped to reach higher goals in life.

family members tell us about them. In the same way, quizzes about our personality can help us find our strengths and weaknesses.

Science has developed many tests and quizzes to find about personality traits. But none of these tests and quizzes can be precise. Every theory gets demolished after few years and gets replaced by a new theory. So are the quizzes based on any particular system of any help? Questions are the answers. What Every Self Improvement Junkie Should Know About Emotion

Written by funker on August 26, 2010 – 3:20 pm

Most people are familiar with the phrase “thoughts become things,” and in a manner of speaking that is true. However, the more accurate way to explain that concept would be to say that thoughts become emotions.

Emotions in turn drive the machine of your life that creates the things that you think about. The fact that emotions need to be part of the equation is easily verified by thinking back to any time in your life whenever you thought long and hard about having or doing something, but those thoughts never manifested into whatever it was that you were thinking about. For example:

? Many people think very often about having enough money to enjoy certain material possessions or experiences.

? Almost all people give considerable thought to weight loss, physical fitness, or their overall health.

? The majority of people also spend plenty of time thinking about satisfying romantic or other social relationships.

However, despite the massive amount of thought that is dedicated to some or all of those things, it is often the case that we do not have the level of success in those areas that we desire.

Statistics shows that about 75% of the people working today are unhappy with their current jobs. One reason is that their talents are wasted because it is not applicable for their current jobs.

That’s just one problem. You might have unreasonable demands placed upon you. You have to work really long hours to get anywhere. The paths to promotion may be blocked. Hypnosis For Self Improvement

Written by funker on August 24, 2010 – 3:20 pm

People usually think of the “cluck like a chicken” stage hypnosis thing when bring up the topic of hypnosis. This is unfortunate because it closes off people’s minds to the real therapeutic uses of hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy can be used in many different ways for “self improvement.” It can be used to change bad habits and to get over fears. What follows are some of the best uses of hypnosis for self improvement.

Quit Smoking. One of the worst habits a person can have is that of smoking cigarettes. It hurts people’s health in the short term (making them much shorter of breath) and also in the long term.) It’s extremely difficult to stop smoking cigarettes because they are highly physically addictive. But hypnotherapy has been proven effective in helping people to quit smoking cigarettes time and time again. I actually know people in my own life who have been able to stop smoking with hypnosis.

Losing Weight. You may be skeptical about this one but hypnosis is actually one of the most effective ways to lose weight. Why? Bad eating habits and bad exercise habits are what really cause someone to get fat. Those habits are very hard to change consciously but through the use of hypnosis they can be changed subconsciously. You (or anyone else with a weight problem) will be able to lose weight if they make the right food choices and exercise choices on a daily basis.
