Federal Money Available For College!

Written by Natasha Bright on April 13, 2010 – 2:55 am

With the ever-upward spiraling cost of higher education, a high school student with dreams of dreams of getting a Bachelor’s of Science degree – or a young technician looking to get Masters or more – seems to be getting grimmer and grimmer. Their academic/work records qualify for the top schools, but the costs leave a lot to be desired. Federal/state financing just isn’t enough, even when tapping into such sources as Pell grants.

Over the few years, the federal government has joined forces with the National Science Foundation. The goal of this team-up is to increase the ranks of scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians (also called STEM fields) for the foreseeable future. The reasoning behind this is simple. It’s been said the strength of a nation is based on how well it sustains technologists, and the U.S. is losing on this front. If you need more information about grant for online school, look on the internet.

Written by Stacy Black on April 2, 2010 – 2:14 am

In a recession, it is always more difficult to make money spread farther, and make ends meet. The demands of daily life pile up, and there seems to be no end to it. There are millions of single women, many single moms, who would like nothing more than to better them, and get a better career.

Among the many grants President Obama is awarding to the people of this recession economy, is a $10,000 sum to single mothers who want to go back to school from private companies. All single mothers over the age of eighteen are eligible and should apply. This money never has to be given back, and if school is out of the question, it can be spent on any number of other things. Anything you want, really.

This is a way to a better job, because a lot of employers are offering to hire mothers right out of graduation, into good jobs with great futures. Many other grants are available for women too, and the internet has all of the information available free of charge. All single mothers who need a boost to their living expenses should look this information up because it can indeed help you pay for school.

College Scholarships: Bridging The Gap

Written by funker on October 10, 2009 – 3:17 pm

In pursuing education, particularly of obtaining a college degree after high school is very important for a successful career in life. A college education today is such a need for any young adult. For a chosen degree to take, you must be prepared for the expenses it will consume for the years to come.

It found out that if someone finishes a college degree it will earn nearly twice as much throughout a lifetime as compared to someone with only a high school diploma. Incidentally, in rising costs of education each year, many high school graduates cannot take nor continue their preferred courses in college.

The number one reason why many students are forced to drop out or not taking college anymore is lack of money. For this unavoidable situation many students in large part of the population that cannot take a college degree are left behind and end up looking for jobs just to support their college education. Some are experiencing emotional stress because they think they are just a burden to their family. For this part college scholarships are the answer.
