What is the difference between any urban and hip hop clothing shop and Dr. Jayâ??s urban clothing store? Well there isnâ??t much difference between Dr. Jayâ??s urban clothing stores and any urban clothing stores out there. All of them specializes in selling and offering a wide range of urban clothing lines, though some have a wider collection than the other one, it is all still the same.

The only difference that makes Dr. Jayâ??s urban clothing stores from any other urban clothing stores is the legacy that Dr. Jayâ??s had started.

The Dr. Jay’s legacy began in 1975 with the opening of our first store, in the South Bronx section of New York. Not coincidentally, hip-hop had its origins in the same neighborhood around the same time that Dr. Jay’s opened its first doors to the public.

The urban landscape was changing, and with the new music came a new fashion sensibility. Dr. Jay’s has been a pioneer in providing these urban fashions ever since, growing to 19 stores throughout the New York Metro area.
